WHO'S ELIGIBLE?
The FernMark Licence Programme is open to New Zealand education providers and businesses who are focused on international markets, committed to New Zealand, and meet the criteria below:
To obtain a FernMark licence, an education provider or business must:
Have education as more than 50% of their business
Offer their products and/or services to international students or education systems
Have a substantial level of New Zealand ownership, governance and full-time employees
Be GST registered in New Zealand
Be compliant with all New Zealand laws and relevant regulations
And be of good character and repute.
If you're an education provider - school, university, Te Pūkenga, wānanga, or private training establishment (PTE) - you must:
Be a New Zealand education provider established by statute, or recognised by NZQA, and
Be a signatory to the Tertiary and International Learners Code of Practice, and
If you're a non-university tertiary provider, you must also be recognised as a Category 1 or Category 2 provider by NZQA.
Note: education agents are NOT eligible for the Programme.
ANNUAL LICENCE FEES
A FernMark Licence is valid for three years and may be renewed every three years. The licence fee is invoiced annually and based on five tiers that relate to the overall annual revenue of your business. The licence fee covers our Licensees for an unlimited number of approved products or services you wish to carry the FernMark. You can apply to have additional products and services approved at any time during the licence term, at no extra cost.
All licence fees are used to cover the costs of the Programme, including the promotion and protection of the brand equity associated with the FernMark trade mark.
